For the vast majority of us, losing both of our arms would end our days of playing table tennis. Not for Egyptian citizen Ibrahim Hamato though. He certainly doesn’t let such a set back put him off. Hamato had both of his arms amputated following an accident at the age of ten, but wanted to continue his passion for table tennis. After trying various unorthodox methods, including grasping his racket in his armpit, Ibrahim settled on using his mouth to hold it. Watch this amazing video, which features footage of Hamato playing, as well as some info on the man himself.

Ibrahim now competes at the highest level, and is a successful paralympian. He is an inspiration to us all. In his own words, ‘nothing is impossible as long as you work hard’.
