The world’s first flying car could be released as early as 2017! The Slovakian company AeroMobil have revealed a prototype of a two-seater car plane which can fly for up to 430 miles, runs on petrol, and can land on just 150ft of grass. It also takes off at 81 miles an hour, and has a top air speed around 124 miles per hour. It even has an autopilot function.
“We are now scaling up quite fast, building the team, and the plan is that in 2017 we’ll be able to announce… the first flying roadster,” Co-Founder and CEO Juraj Vaculik told CNBC. “The point is not only to showcase that it’s possible to marry together a plane and a car, but to really commercialize it.”
So, it appears that flying cars will shortly no longer be a fantasy restricted to movies like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Back to the Future. You’ll never get stuck in traffic again!
