Man Finds $4500 In Replacement Box Of Fried Chicken

When James Minor from Henrico County, Virginia took his box of fried chicken back to his local Bojangles and complained that his chicken was cold, he expected the replacement box they gave him to contain several hunks of delicious hot fried chicken. What he didn’t expect was for the box to contain $4500 in cold hard cash and a bunch of deposit slips. Whereas a lot of people would have taken the money (and maybe hit up KFC for some chicken to celebrate their good fortune), James is an honest dude who took the box full of money back to the shop.

The manager’s reaction? To not be especially grateful. Oh, and to tell James that he would have called the cops had he not returned the money and the deposit slips. The ungrateful son of a b*tch.

“Here I am doing a good thing, bringing the money back,” James told reporters. “Most folks probably would’ve kept on going and wouldn’t have recognized it until they got home.”

So much for honesty, hey James? We doubt he’ll be frequenting Bojangles from now on, despite the chain’s belated, begrudging attempts to reward his honesty after he went to the press.
