anon
Pseudonymous crypto poster — face hidden, opinions loud.
Definitions
A pseudonymous crypto user — typically posting under a cartoon PFP and a handle with no real name attached. Used both as a noun ('that anon called the top') and as a friendly direct address ('gm anon'). Carries no negative weight in Web3; anonymity is the default, doxxing yourself is the unusual move.
Generic 4chan/imageboard term for any anonymous poster, going back to the early 2000s. The user is literally labelled 'Anonymous' on the site, and posters address each other as 'anon' by default.
A blockchain wallet address with no known owner — used in on-chain analysis to describe unidentified actors. 'An anon wallet bought 10,000 ETH' means the buyer hasn't been linked to a person or entity.
