Anti-seize
Lubricant compound on bolt threads — jokingly called 'anal ease'.
Definitions
A metallic-particle lubricant (usually copper, nickel, or aluminium-based) smeared on bolt threads, spark plugs, exhaust studs — anywhere heat, corrosion, or galling would otherwise weld the fastener in place. Stops the bolt from seizing so you can actually get it out a year later. The grey-silver smear that ends up on every mechanic's hands.
The shop-floor joke: pronounce 'anti-seize' fast and it becomes 'anal ease'. Apprentices get sent to the parts counter to ask for it by name at least once.
