A Birmingham City FC supporter, used pejoratively by Aston Villa fans and other rivals. Blues fans have largely reclaimed it — you'll see it worn with pride on terraces and in chants.
Older Scots/Northern Irish sense: a strict, puritanical type — someone disapproving of drink, fun, anything lively. Largely faded from use in the Midlands.
A sailor who has crossed the Arctic Circle aboard ship and been initiated into the Order of the Bluenose. Sister ceremony to the shellback — instead of King Neptune, you answer to Boreas Rex, and the highlight is usually getting your nose painted blue. The northern flex to match the equatorial one.
