Breath control play

Cutting off or limiting a partner's oxygen during a scene to heighten arousal — also called asphyxiation play or 'breath play.' Done by hand, with hoods, or other restrictions. It's classic edgeplay: the danger is the point, and it sits at the genuinely risky end of the spectrum. The kink community treats it with real caution, because losing consciousness or worse is a live possibility, not a theoretical one. Most safety-literate players will tell you solo breath play is a hard no.
