crow In A Sentence

He got his crow on the first try — most guys need two or three shots at the exam.

Origin & Usage

US Navy. The petty officer rank badge features an eagle perched above the chevrons — sailors have called it a 'crow' for over a century because, frankly, it's small and black and doesn't look much like an eagle on a sleeve.
