kai kai

Old-school drag-scene slang for a sexual or romantic hookup between two drag queens — classically with both still in full face and gown. Don't confuse it with a kiki: a kiki is gossip, laughs and small talk; kai kai is the act itself. The terms are cousins (both likely trace back to 'ki ki', queens giggling together) but they are not the same thing, and the scene polices the distinction. Surfaced into the mainstream via RuPaul's Drag Race.
