A rubbish heap, dung heap, or by extension a dustbin. Old Black Country and Birmingham word from Old English for the household muck-pile out the back. Largely retired since the 1960s but still surfaces in older speech and the phrase 'marry the miskin fer the muck' — marrying for money.
