OTA stands for Open To All. Most ballroom categories are gendered — they're for butch queens, or femme queens, or butches — but an OTA category drops the gate. Any gender identity, any expression, everybody walks the same floor and competes head to head. It's the category that levels the room, and it's grown into its own mini-ball series with both mainstream and Kiki editions.
