An ortho patient discovered to be in serious medical trouble that the orthopaedic team missed or ignored. Trotted out by internists and ICU staff to rib the surgeons — the joke being that ortho can pin the femur but can't read a fluid balance.

Built off FUBAR (military 'Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition'). The stereotype: orthopaedic surgeons are brilliant carpenters but iffy at the medicine — so the internist called in finds a hip-fix patient quietly going into heart failure from too much IV fluid.
